School started last week for my students, and starts Tuesday for the girls. August has been intense: trying to make plans and space for the new baby. Trying to prepare for the start of the semester, and the start of school: backpacks, school clothes, paperwork, open houses, carts full of Kleenex and Lysol wipes and crayons and gluesticks. Trying to sell the house, which meant putting most of our possessions in storage and dropping everything to clean at a moments notice when someone wants to walk through.
But yesterday, when I was so stressed and overwhelmed I thought I could not do one more thing, I walked outside and realized the sunflowers are blooming, there are tomatoes to be harvested, and late summer sun melts the frustration away. A few photos from a lovely afternoon:
