Looking at my daughter’s toes was a huge part of meeting them. Because their toes are so weird and unique to them. Their faces resemble Brian and I, but their toes are all them.
D and Lucy were amazed by how every single part of M was tiny: tiny toes, tiny ears, tiny fingers, tiny nose, tiny everything. I think maybe they didn’t realize that babies were very small people, and not some other species.
